NFL Genealogy

I brushed up on some serious research and discovered that 31 out of 32 current NFL Head Coaches' pedigree can be traced back to three head coaches: Bill Walsh, Bill Parcells & Marty Schottenheimer. Obviously Walsh has the biggest branch with the most leaves on the current NFL coaching tree, and as of writing this Im digging for a connection between the tree but cannot find one. (*indicates currently active in NFL; #indicates Super Bowl Win, + indicates appeared, but lost in Super Bowl)

Also worth noting, if Kansas City hires Cardinal offensive coordinator Todd Haley to be their new head coach (as rumored), the Schottenheimer branch will have produced another head coach, and ALL 32 head coaches coaching pedigree can be traced through these three coaching family trees.

Now after a little digging around, you can trace Walsh back to the legendary Paul Brown. The other two coaches cant be traced back to any of the fathers of modern NFL Coaching (Noll, Lombardi, Landry, etc.).
